Privacy Policy
We collect nothing. We store nothing. We transmit nothing. PRNG runs entirely on your device. Your data never leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PRNG — Hardware Entropy RNG ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use the application on your Android device.
By using PRNG, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
Information We Collect
PRNG does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information. The following table summarizes all data interactions within the App:

How Sensor Data Is Used
PRNG reads hardware sensor values (CPU temperature, battery temperature, battery voltage, CPU load) exclusively to generate entropy for the random number engine. This sensor data:
- Is processed entirely in-memory on your device
- Is never written to disk or persistent storage
- Is discarded immediately after entropy extraction
- Cannot be used to identify you or your device
- Is not correlated with any external data source
The purpose is purely computational — producing high-quality random numbers. No inference about your behavior, identity, or environment is made or stored.
Internet & Network Access
PRNG does not request the INTERNET permission.
The App cannot and does not make any network requests. There is no telemetry,
no remote configuration, no update checking, and no analytics beacon of any kind.
You can verify this by inspecting the App's permissions in Settings → Apps → PRNG → Permissions on your device.
Third-Party Services
PRNG integrates no third-party SDKs, libraries, or services that collect data. There are no advertising networks, analytics platforms, crash reporting services, or social media integrations.
The App contains no ads of any kind.
Android Permissions
The App requests only the following permissions, used strictly as described:
- DEVICE_POWER — Read CPU and battery thermal sensor data for entropy collection
- STATUS_BAR — Read battery status metrics for entropy collection
No permissions related to contacts, camera, microphone, location, storage, or phone identity are requested or used.
Children's Privacy
PRNG does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the App is inherently compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
Data Security
Because PRNG collects no personal data, there is no personal data to secure, breach, or expose. All computations occur in the application's sandboxed memory space, isolated by the Android operating system from other applications.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Given that the App collects no data by design, we do not anticipate material changes to this policy.
